Join Luke Johnson, visiting assistant professor of art, for an afternoon of drop-in drawing in response to the exhibition Alex Katz | Out of Sight. Inspired by Katz’s working methods and motifs, participants will generate rapid sketches of their surroundings. Through repeated acts of close-looking, revision, and translations of scale and material, participants will sharpen their observational skills, creating drawings that embody Katz’s sustained attention to the ways we see and experience the world around us. All materials provided, and all experience levels welcome. Drop-in for as little or as long as you’d like! Snacks and drinks included. Free for all, advance registration is encouraged. https://museum.colby.edu/events/drop-in-drawing-quick-things-passing-with-luke-johnson
